At Signant Health, we help bring life-changing treatments to patients faster. We are a global evidence generation company that supports clinical trials with smart technology, scientific expertise, and hands‑on operational support — so better data leads to better decisions in healthcare. We embrace AI and advanced technologies to enhance every aspect of what we do, from data analysis to operational efficiency.

Our teams work at the intersection of science, technology, and patient experience, delivering digital solutions powered by AI innovation that make clinical trials more efficient, more accurate, and more accessible around the world. Trusted by leading pharmaceutical companies and CROs, our platforms and services support studies across more than 90 countries and have contributed to hundreds of new drug approvals.

If you are motivated by meaningful work, global impact, and innovation in clinical research and digital health — including the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge AI technologies — you will find purpose and opportunity at Signant Health.

About the Role

The Director, Biotech Business Development will drive growth within the biotech market segment by expanding adoption of Signant Health's clinical technology solutions and services. This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be located within and able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) to effectively support customers and internal stakeholders. The role is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets while contributing to the broader commercial organization's success.

What you will do

  • Execute sales strategies for assigned biotech accounts and territories, delivering against business objectives and financial targets for clinical technology solutions
  • Develop and implement territory‑specific sales plans aligned with annual goals, providing regular progress updates to senior leadership
  • Lead end‑to‑end sales processes for Signant Health's clinical technology portfolio, serving as the primary customer contact and coordinating closely with internal technical teams
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams including Solutions Architects, Proposals, Technical Solutions, and Operations to develop compelling, client‑specific proposals
  • Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers across the biotech sector
  • Manage and report on sales pipeline activity, ensuring accurate forecasting and achievement of individual sales targets in line with the company's compensation plan
  • Collaborate internally to align with customer initiatives and maximize commercial opportunities
  • Represent Signant Health at industry conferences, meetings, and events to increase brand awareness and generate new business leads
  • Make sound, data‑driven decisions within the context of business priorities and customer needs, and influence outcomes through consultative, value‑driven conversations with both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Work effectively with diverse, cross‑functional teams to achieve shared goals
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as required to meet evolving business needs

What you'll bring

Required Qualifications

  • Proven success in B2B sales, with experience selling technical or complex solutions to pharmaceutical or biotech organizations
  • Strong understanding of clinical research technologies and eClinical solutions
  • Experience contributing to proposal development and competitive bid processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute territory sales strategies
  • Results‑driven mindset with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience within the clinical research or life sciences industry
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting capabilities
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across functions
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and a growth‑oriented mindset

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience selling eClinical solutions within pharmaceutical or CRO environments
  • Experience working in a matrixed or global organization
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
