Job description

Maintenance Engineer (Temporary)
SUMMARY
Performs a variety of maintenance, repair or service duties to ensure the continuous operation of hotel/casino. Inspects all assigned equipment, noting all defective or weak parts. Ensures that all federal, state and local building and safety codes are followed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. May be responsible for one or more of the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, chillers, pumps, fan coil units, etc.
  2. Ensures compliance with all safety, health and building codes.
  3. Performs preventive maintenance duties including changing filters, oiling motors, replacing light fixtures, and all annual inspections as directed by manufactures,
  4. Documents and reports activities to supervisor bringing special attention to any weak areas.
  5. Responds immediately to emergency situations and all guest concerns.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience in reading, interpreting and following general engineering drawings, schematics and specifications as well as manufactures instructions. This is normally acquired through three to five years of experience in commercial property maintenance and/or a Journeyman or Master Electrician License certificate.
  3. Training and/or experience in the following areas: HVAC, Asbestos Abatement Procedures, EPA Regulations, OSHA Regulations, and AutoCad Certification.
