Senior Engineer – Structural – Mi-Tech Services, Inc.

As a full‑service engineering, design, and construction services firm, Mi-Tech delivers comprehensive support for utility and infrastructure projects from planning and design through execution. Our multidisciplinary team provides practical, innovative solutions that emphasize cost efficiency, constructability, and long‑term value.

In your role as a senior structural engineer at Mi-Tech, you’ll design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with the construction of utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop calculation submittals for temporary and permanent structures.
  • Coordinate development of design and shop drawings.
  • Support project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses.
  • Mentor and support other engineers.
  • Communicate and coordinate with design and field teams.
  • Provide support to the Principal Engineer with other assigned duties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience designing temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structures preferred.
  • Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures (foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems) is a plus.
  • Previous construction field experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a quickly changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication required.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Review Team.
