We are currently seeking a Temporary Maintenance Technician I to support our Maintenance team. This is a temporary assignment designed to assist with facility operations, preventive maintenance, sanitation, and general repairs while providing valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing and cultivation environment.
Position Summary
The Temporary Maintenance Technician I will work alongside experienced maintenance personnel to perform routine maintenance, facility upkeep, sanitation, and repair tasks. This position supports the daily operation of the facility through preventative maintenance, grounds maintenance, equipment inspections, and general building repairs.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist the maintenance team with preventive maintenance, repairs, and assigned projects.
  • Monitor equipment and building systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Document completed work and maintenance activities using Monday.com.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including lawn care, landscaping, and seasonal snow or ice removal as needed.
  • Assist with irrigation system maintenance and basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the facility and grounds.
  • Replace HVAC filters and perform basic plumbing repairs.
  • Inspect, repair, replace, or install facility equipment such as lighting, fans, doors, railings, dehumidifiers, and other mechanical components.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Report maintenance concerns, damages, and safety issues to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform routine sanitation duties throughout the facility, including offices, breakrooms, restrooms, production areas, and common spaces.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory replenishment is needed.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support sanitation and maintenance needs.
Qualifications
  • Interest in learning maintenance and facility operations.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Schedule
This is a temporary position with hours based on operational needs. Overtime and holiday work may be required.
Travel
Local travel during the business day may be required.
