Job description

CGS is looking for a Warfighting Functional (WfF) Analyst to support the US Army's Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, KS.As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to drive solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.As a Warfighting Functional (WfF) Analyst, you'll use/bring your analytical, tactical, technical, DOTMLPF, and MDMP expertise as you work as member of an Operations Group on projects for the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). You'll support an Operations Group with the planning, preparation, execution, and assessment of the Army's Warfighter Exercise (WFX) program. You'll be a trusted advisor to MCTP Military, and we'll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex Operations Orders, SOPs, policies, processes, and/or instrumentation related to WFXs, Risk Reduction Events, and MCTP steady state operations. Write MCTP Operations Orders as required. Use all current and future analytical tools available to produce AARs. Serve as WFX POC and proficient in producing digital SCP, as required produce orders x-walk, when feasible cross train as Workstation controller.You'll oversee the work we do for Operations Groups supporting MCTP and the solutions we deliver for the Army's Warfighter program.You served your country -now, continue your mission with us. Further your career with us as you help solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems for MCTP.This position may require access to restricted facilities. Due to the nature of work performed within those facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Minimum Requirements:Former field grade officer. Can be a senior Warrant Officer, (W-4/5) or Sergeant Major (E9).Successfully served in a key developmental position at brigade/battalion level (i.e., Executive Officer, S-3, Operations Sergeant Major, etc.).Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint software.Familiar with all current Army and Joint regulation and publications applicable to this position prior to employment.BS/BA degree.Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or Warrant Officer or SGM's equivalent.Active DOD Secret clearance is required. Preferred Experience and Qualifications:MCTP experienceWARSIM Instructor Controller trainingFamiliar with the MCTP Archiving and Enhanced Retrieval (ARCHER) systemWar College (MEL1) Graduate or equivalentRetired Lieutenant Colonel (O-5) or aboveServed on Division/Corps level staff positionsPossession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsMaster's degreeWorking Conditions: Inside Government training facilities.Required Travel: Employees will travel to temporary work locations during exercises.Job Type: Part-Time On-Call, ExemptContract Length: More than 1 yearCore Government Services is an equal opportunity employer.
