1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:Accountable to design data architecture standards and solutions for the across data engineering, data platforms, AI / ML platforms, generative AI processes, self-service tools, data transformation tools. Further accountable for partnering with the technology and business teams to solution specific business processes and solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Oversees data architecture for a specific business unit/corporate function (BU / CF), while collaborating closely with Enterprise Architecture, and guiding teams to support evolving strategic business and technical enterprise initiatives.
2. Responsible for aligning data projects to the standards of the data strategy, architecture and enterprise architecture.
3. Accountable for defining the conceptual, logical, and physical data models for their specific BU / CF.
4. Accountable and responsible for instituting data architecture methodology across each BU / CF, as well as overseeing standardized processes for managing and storing data models in a centralized model repository.
5. Partner with the technology, data delivery teams and BU / CF teams to architect solutions to meet specific audit issues, controls issues, MRAs, MRIAs, MRBAs and self identified issues.
6. Manage the application inventory for their specific BU / CF and mapping those to the data architecture methodology and proposing process changes related to Data Architecture.
7. Responsible for providing data architecture review and approval for each BU / CF as part of the Architecture Review Board, model governance & ethical practices committee for AI.
8. Translate BU / CF requirements into technical implementations and schemas; determine technical solutions that can fulfill business needs and requests.
9. Design proof-of-concept system prototypes for specific BU / CF with proper architecture.
10. Stay up to speed on emerging industry and technologies while bringing those new practices to Truist.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Undergraduate degree in either computer science, analytics, data engineering, finance or equivalent degree
2. At least 10 years of experience driving enterprise architecture, solution architecture, data architecture, data strategy, data execution, data engineering or software delivery
3. Previous experience in defining, building and executing on an enterprise data management and governance program
4. Expert problem solving skills and being able to define detailed strategies
5. Expert in enterprise architecture, solution architecture and data architecture
6. Expert in solution designs based upon business requirements
7. Experience in meeting regulatory obligations and operating in a highly regulatory environment
8. Experience in building a high performing team


Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience leading AI readiness, data governance, data quality, lineage, and metadata management initiatives.

2. Proven ability to embed governance, controls, and risk management into business processes and data product lifecycles.

3. Experience partnering across Business, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Data & Analytics organizations.
4. Knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, Responsible AI, and model governance practices in regulated environments.

5. Experience implementing data product operating models, business ownership frameworks, and stewardship programs.

6. Strong executive communication, influence, and organizational change leadership skills.
