Job description

Working in conjunction with the Main Office HR team, this position provides human resources support to Distribution Center leadership related but not limited to talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, safety, and project work deemed appropriate by the business. This position makes a positive impact on how employees experience organizational change and works closely with leadership to achieve specific business goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND OTHER DUTIES

  • Recruitment for various positions - including seasonal positions, conduct periodic market analysis, post available positions, track FTE.
  • Onboarding including sending communication to headquarters for specific access per position for employees, assign security access cards, I9s, certifications etc. Conduct new hire orientation.
  • Timekeeping
    • Approve timecards, Paid Time Off, Sick Time,
    • Payroll ? communicate garnishments, set up system access.
    • Track and submit temporary agency hours for invoicing
  • Safety program
    • Organize safety meetings, daily communication, observations, updates
    • Work with headquarters for specific facility needs.
    • Make recommendations to improve safety culture.
    • Document all incidents, report all incidents to Worker?s Compensation
  • Training
    • Work with Quality Assurance programs and trainings on new quality guidelines
    • Track employee annual trainings.
  • Working with main office HR team to implement various HR events such as biometric screenings, flu-shot clinics, etc.
  • Translate communication documents for in-house communication and communication sent by headquarters.
  • Attend department meetings to understand the needs of the warehouse
  • Ensure timely employee performance reviews are completed.
  • Assist with disciplinary action/employee relations
  • Stay up to date with California laws and policies, communicate to corporate office
  • File maintenance
