Job description

Summary:
The City of Lawrence Parking Services Department is seeking a Temporary Administrative Support staff member to assist full-time staff with clerical and administrative duties related to cash handling, payment processing, invoice mailing, financial tracking, and customer service.


This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. The position will work up to 32 hours per week, Tuesday through Friday, through the end of 2026, with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position in 2027.

Responsibilities:
•    Support customer service window
•    Answer parking related phone calls, emails, and messages
•    Assist with Right of Way billing and management

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Cash handling
  • Provide administrative support as needed.

Requirements:
•    Minimum age of 18 years.
•    Must have reliable transportation to and from the employment location.
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•    Basic typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
•    Self-motivated with a willingness to take on new challenges with enthusiasm.
•    Successful completion of a background check.
