Job description

Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Job Summary:
1. Production safety (proper wear of PPEs)

2. Product quality (yield produced by each shift)

3. Productivity (pieces produced by each shift)

4. Job observation (associates’ skills/wait on the job/defects/on-site conditions/preparations)

5. Training (equipment operation, quality standards, process requirements and information feedback procedure)

6. Emergency issue handling (4M changes, sudden equipment breakdowns, production problems)

Job Functions:

  • Conducting pre-shift meeting
  • Assembly's process of finished products
  • Guidance and leadership to personnel and motivation of Associates to reach
  • Create grid whiteboard maintenance and direction to Associates
  • Oversight of glass auditing and Plex entry
  • Responsible report to Lead supervisor, organize and plan production based on production orders, shift production daily report.
  • Fully responsible to shift production quality and cost, manage and control each KPI in order to fulfill the company's requests.
  • Implement pre-shift meeting regulation. Report production, quality, work regulation issues.
  • Responsible to solve production issues, organize personnel to solve problems.
  • Responsible for work coordination, assist financial department and statistic department in plant stock taking and bonus management.
  • Supervise the preparation of each position before production, Monitor work regulations,q uality,safety.Make sure that operators will work according to 3 operation instructions.
  • Implement initial training ,formal training and multi positions training, Implementation evaluation follow-up.
  • Collect shift production data, analyze shift production and quality status, report to Lead supervisor.
  • .Responsible for managing 5 Star Kanban and conducting the TPM activity of the workshop
  • Implement 5s and visionary management on-site.Keep safe and clean environment. Keep items in their positions.
  • In case of emergency, follow the instructions in emergency plan.
  • Responsible for quality document and record management. Manage and supervise equipment and tools in the plant.
  • Double check the accuracy of production report preparation and import to system. Make sure the responsible warehouse materials quantities match system record.
  • Identify workplace environment factor, hazard resource and control method.
  • Strictly implement the regulations of comprehensive management system(Complete Daily Safety checklist).
  • Take care of sorting and storage of own waste.
  • Assist other matters.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded
  • Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions
