Description

The Mixing Machine Operator utilizes assorted equipment to blend ingredients into juice product for processing while following exact product specifications and recipes. This is a full-time, 1st shift, non-exempt position.

Requirements

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and tend equipment to blend juice based on specific formulations; and appropriately record within batch sheet 
  • Operate computer control panel, or manually open valves, and initiate flow of juice through pasteurizing equipment into designated tanks 
  • Ensure compliance to plant policies and Federal and State regulations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)/Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) and document pasteurization process
  •  Perform periodic tests to ensure product quality and adherence to formulation 
  • Document test results; communicate deviations to management and co-workers
  • Perform periodic change over and clean up procedures; utilizing the Cleaning in Place (CIP) system to include thorough documentation of all processes and procedures 
  • Stage ingredients prior to start of blend utilizing standard operating procedures for blending processes
  • Report actual usage in the Business Planning and Control System (BPCS) software system and resolve any variances in distribution 
  • Perform physical ingredient inventory as needed/directed
  • Maintain temperature records in refrigerated warehouse and tempering logs  
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards  
  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned



Pay: 

$22+/hr, wage based on experience; OT as required


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred 
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse or retail work experience preferred but will train the right candidate!
  • Must be detail oriented and quick learner
  • Must be able to effectively communicate 
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within deadlines
  • Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills
  • Ability to communicate verbally and by written reports
