Job description

WorkSource is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a glass manufacturing facility. This position requires a safety-focused individual who is comfortable operating a forklift in a fast-paced production environment while handling glass products, raw materials, and finished goods. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial setting and understand the importance of safely transporting fragile materials.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a forklift to move glass products, materials, and crates throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload trucks while ensuring glass materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Transport raw materials and finished products between production and storage areas.
  • Assist with staging, organizing, and preparing crates for shipping and receiving.
  • Conduct routine forklift inspections and report any equipment issues.
  • Accurately read work orders, labels, and tape measurements as needed.
  • Support production operations by moving materials to cutting, laminating, tempering, polishing, and other processing areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Previous industrial or glass manufacturing experience preferred.
