The Opportunity:

Washington State University Health Sciences Department is now accepting applications for a Health Sciences K-12 Coordinator. As the K-12 Coordinator you will be responsible for the outreach, recruitment, development, and management of pre-health, health pathways, and the visitation programs of K-12 programs. In this role you will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate new and existing Native American Health Pathway programs to include Na-ha-shnee STEAM Summer Institute and bring attention to the various Health Sciences programs. You will also work with tribal communities, their K-12 education systems and leaders, families, tribal community colleges, and other higher education institution partners to presentWSUHealth Sciences andWSUNative American Health Sciences (NAHS)programming to future students.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Recruitment, Outreach, and Visitation Coordination: 45%

• Program Planning & Implementation: 30%

• Student/Participant Retention and Advising: 20%

• Other Duties as Assigned: 5%

Additional Information:

This is a full-time (100% FTE), temporary position. The position is overtime eligible.

This is a fixed-term, grant funded position expected to end on July 15, 2028.

Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.

This is an on-site/in-person role located on WSU campus in Spokane, WA.

Monthly Salary:$3,750.85 - $5,397.56 | Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
