Location: Bellevue, WA 98005

Position Type: Temporary-to-Hire (90 Days)

Candidates hired into this role will be required to join the onsite union upon permanent employment.

Shift Availability
  • Swing Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Graveyard Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Overtime: Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pasteurizer to support dairy production operations. This role is responsible for monitoring and operating pasteurization equipment, maintaining food safety and quality standards, documenting production activities, and ensuring efficient processing of dairy products.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Monitor the dairy production process while following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Batch and process dairy products according to established specifications.
  • Communicate with production teams and management regarding equipment issues or production concerns.
  • Complete all required production documentation in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Monitor product specifications including fats, total solids, allergens, and other processing requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize processing equipment using both CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and manual cleaning procedures.
  • Operate equipment efficiently to maximize production while minimizing downtime.
  • Analyze production and equipment performance data to identify process improvements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all food safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and consistently follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Support food safety, quality assurance, and prerequisite programs within the assigned production area.
  • Immediately report any food safety or quality concerns to management.
  • Maintain organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to accurately follow recipes, measurements, and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
Experience Requirements
  • Candidates with a Pasteurizer's License: Minimum of 6-12 months of experience operating pasteurization or dairy processing equipment.
  • Candidates without a Pasteurizer's License: Minimum of 12 months of experience operating pasteurization or dairy processing equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina to lift, move, and handle production materials throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing or dairy processing environment is strongly preferred.
