DescriptionSummary:Seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for an outpatient Womenโs Imaging department within Mary Washington Healthcare. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3-D mammography procedures in a fast-paced outpatient imaging setting. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, utilizing PACS systems, and supporting high-quality patient care and imaging workflow.
First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates are also accepted.
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening, diagnostic, digital, and 3-D mammography procedures following physician orders and facility protocols.
- Operate mammography imaging equipment including Hologic DBT and Hologic DEXA systems.
- Ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
- Review patient history and verify proper documentation prior to procedures.
- Utilize PACS and Epic systems for image documentation, workflow management, and patient charting.
- Coordinate with radiologists and clinical staff regarding imaging results and workflow needs.
- Maintain compliance with ARRT, state licensing, infection control, and facility imaging standards.
- Support efficient outpatient imaging operations while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Float within scope only if necessary to meet departmental needs.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience required.
- Experience with:
- Screening Mammograms
- Diagnostic Mammograms
- Digital Mammography
- 3-D Mammography (DBT)
- PACS experience required.
- Outpatient imaging experience required.
- Experience with Hologic DBT and Hologic DEXA equipment required.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- No travel experience required.
QualificationsEducation:- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Mammography Technology program.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year recent Mammography Technologist experience.
- Recent outpatient womenโs imaging experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in high-volume imaging environments preferred.
License:
- Active ARRT Certification (Radiography โ R)
- Active ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification
- Active Virginia State License
- Active AHA BLS Certification
