Job description

Job Title: IT Systems Manager


Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an IT Systems Manager to join our client to help drive the stability, security, and strategic direction of their enterprise technology environment. This role is responsible for guiding infrastructure decisions, supporting daily operations, and leading modernization initiatives across on premise and cloud platforms. The IT Systems Manager will serve as a senior technical resource who influences tool selection, project delivery, and long term systems planning. This is a direct hire position based in Christiana, Delaware with a hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence during the initial phase.

Compensation:
$120,000 to $150,000 per year

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMKey Responsibilities of the IT Systems Manager:

  • Oversee and support enterprise infrastructure environments including Windows, Linux, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and core communications systems
  • Lead system lifecycle management activities such as provisioning, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and incident response for production environments
  • Provide hands on administration and support for Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Group Policy, identity services, and Microsoft 365 platforms
  • Guide infrastructure projects from evaluation through delivery, including recommending tool paths, coordinating vendors, and ensuring projects meet technical and business goals
  • Support security, disaster recovery, compliance, and operational readiness through planning, testing, documentation, and ongoing improvements

Qualifications and Skills for the IT Systems Manager:

  • A mature technologist with five or more years of experience supporting enterprise level systems and infrastructure environments
  • Strong background working within Microsoft environments including Microsoft 365 and related identity and endpoint management tools
  • Experience supporting or transitioning to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, with the ability to evaluate platform fit and direction
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, recommend technology solutions, and manage or deliver infrastructure projects without direct people management responsibilities
  • Hands on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper V, Citrix, Nutanix, or Linux KVM
