The Occupational Therapy department is a doctorate program that prepares students to improve human lives through innovations in research, community engagement and education in occupational therapy and rehabilitation in general. The rigor and demands of the program match the need for occupational therapy services in a dynamic healthcare system that is highly technological and global. The scientific study of humans as occupational beings is a central concept of this program, a concept based on the fundamental premise that occupation is an integral part of life and a prerequisite to participation. The program embraces the American Occupational Therapy Association Vision 2025 and focuses on producing leaders who use creative and critical thinking and clinical reasoning with great effectiveness and efficiency.

Occupational Therapy department is seeking to hire a
Staff Assistant II (Temp).

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for meeting requests and oversight of calendars for the department chairs.
- Creates meeting agendas, keeps attendance records, and records minutes.
- Transcribes and prepares accurate minutes for meetings, ensuring timely distribution and proper documentation.
- Coordinates events for Unit Heads, including Directors Meeting, Advisory Board Meeting, Faculty Meeting, End-of-Year Faculty and Staff Meeting, Clinical Partnership Meetings.
- Provides administrative support for the White Coat Ceremony, Honors Day, faculty retreats, and strategic planning sessions.
- Assists with travel coordination including travel authorizations and submitting expense reports.
- Coordinates room reservations.
- Organizes catering for meetings and events.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assists Fieldwork and Admissions Coordinator

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a high school or GED and six years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with GSU policies and procedures.
- A self-starter able to work independently.
- Radiates a positive attitude and is willing to be a team player.
- Detail oriented and follows instructions carefully.
- Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with and collaborate with diverse groups (internal/external).
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing demands, and work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
