Job Summary
This position is located in Rapid City SD and requires the ability to work on-site in Rapid City, SD
The Research Assistant provides administrative and organizational support for multiple community-based research projects. This position assists with research administration, document management, data entry, scheduling, and general office support to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with university and funding requirements.
Responsibilities*
  • Provide administrative support for multiple research projects.
  • Print, scan, organize, and maintain research and administrative documents.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of IRB applications, amendments, continuing reviews, and other regulatory documents.
  • Enter, verify, and maintain research and administrative data.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper project files.
  • Schedule meetings, trainings, and community events; coordinate calendars and meeting logistics.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, record meeting notes, and distribute follow-up materials.
  • Prepare project materials, training packets, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Assist with purchasing, reimbursements, travel arrangements, and other administrative processes.
  • Respond to routine administrative emails and inquiries.
  • Provide general administrative support to project staff as assigned.

Required Qualifications*
  • Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
