Job description

Job Description This is a non-merit, temporary position. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise. The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for a temporary Resident Aide to work in the Resident Services Department.

Duties include: - Escort residents to and from hair care appointments, pushing occupied adult sized wheelchairs. - Assist in activity centers with projection preparation when not escorting. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-3p.m., 2-3 days a week (no weekends), maximum 15 hours per week

Current wage is $12.76. ***All applicants are subject to a criminal background and dependent adult abuse check. E-Verify and Right to Work: The State of Iowa participates in E-Verify, a federal program that helps employers confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees
