Job description

Interventional Cardiologist

Board Certified / Board Eligible

Position Summary

A well-established cardiovascular practice is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a growing, multidisciplinary cardiac team. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient care, and interventional procedures within a comprehensive cardiovascular program that includes advanced clinical services and an active research environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient clinic care, inpatient rounding, and interventional procedures
  • Utilize advanced cardiac support devices, including Impellaintra-aortic balloon pumps, and temporary pacemakers
  • Participate in a high-volume interventional practice performing approximately 125–150 diagnostic and interventional procedures per month
  • Support and participate in specialized therapies for patients with refractory angina, including Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP)
  • Engage in clinical research and participation in cardiovascular clinical trials
  • Share call responsibilities equally within the group, including a 1:4 weekend call rotation
  • Participate in resident and/or trainee education as applicable
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team with dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support
Practice Environment
  • Well-established cardiovascular practice with multiple regional clinic locations
  • State-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, catheterization laboratories, and nursing support
  • Dedicated office space located in proximity to the hospital
  • Robust clinical infrastructure supported by experienced administrative and clinical staff
Requirements
Certifications & Licensure
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Active state medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • AHA-approved BLS certification
Required Education
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program
  • Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology
