ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize (Formerly Aggregate Industries) operates seven regional construction materials businesses in the United States. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand & gravel is enhanced by downstream operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. In addition, recycling, liquid asphalt, soil remediation and retailing businesses are also in operation, creating true, vertically integrated divisions. Our regional businesses participate in all sectors of the construction industry, supplying aggregates-based materials and contracting services to a wide range of projects including large, publicly financed infrastructure projects, commercial, and residential developments. 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers by addressing business issues, questions or concerns in a timely manner
  • Deliver Quality practices to the organization which support company business strategy
  • Communicates and promotes safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with Company standards
  • Enter concrete cylinder data into Quadrel database
  • Notify Quality Control Manager of any issues with mix designs, cylinder beaks, etc.
  • Help Quality Control Technicians in the field with testing procedures on aggregates and fresh concrete products
  • Provide routine testing on core mix designs to ensure high quality performance
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: High School Diploma required; a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent is preferred

Field of Study Preferred: Construction Management, Civil Engineering

Required Work Experience: Three to five years of related experience is preferred, must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal format, self-motivated and able to work independently, able to work in a team environment and interact with employees at all levels within the company, valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50-75lbs and possess strong math skills
Must have experience with MS Office. Experience with Command and Quadrel Software is preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both in written and verbal format.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, able to work in a team environment and interact with employees at all levels within the company.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • The ability to lift 50-75lbs

  • Strong math skills and experience with MS Office. Experience with Command and Quadrel Software is preferred

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
