Job description

TAE Life Sciences (TLS) is a biologically targeted radiation therapy company focused on developing novel treatment to improve the lives of patients with difficult-to-treat cancers. TLS has developed breakthrough technology for the clinical investigation of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) to provide a treatment option for patients with malignancies that are difficult to treat through traditional methods, such as head, neck and brain cancers. Our proprietary accelerator-based BNCT platform combines two well-known modalities - biological targeting and radiation therapy - for precision treatment at the cellular level.
TAE is looking for a TEMP Procurement Buyer & Inventory Lead with expertise in quoting, sourcing, and vendor relationships. Also, working with warehouse and logistics personnel and the warehouse team in Italy to set up and track inventory using WASP.
About the Role
General Procurement Tasks:
  • Purchase critical parts, materials, components, and services.
  • Obtain quotations for products and services.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers, such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Prepare and place purchase orders in NetSuite.
  • Maintain purchasing files and produce reports with graphs for different stakeholders.
  • Work with AP to resolve invoice discrepancies, define payment terms, and set up new suppliers in NetSuite.
  • Coordinate and execute engineering change order (ECO) activities with suppliers, the quality team, and the engineering team.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager with day-to-day tasks. Attend and present the procurement status at management meetings as needed.
  • Handle and coordinate NDAs between the legal team and suppliers.
  • Set up and attend meetings with the engineering team and suppliers and update the status to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Support the procurement team when the Supply Chain Manager is not available.

Supplier Management:
  • Work with current and prospective vendors to negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms while monitoring suppliers' reliability.
  • Negotiate cost-effective solutions with current and potential vendors.
  • Contact vendors to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with corrective actions and deliver products as per the purchase order agreement.
  • Track if vendors meet quality and delivery standards.

Inventory Control and Planning:
  • Ensure that all materials are received on time.
  • Manage component supply and inventory levels to ensure digital records match physical goods for the Italy warehouse
  • Work with Logistics personnel and engineers to track inventory for the Italy warehouse using WASP and report inventory data to appropriate stakeholders.

About You
  • A Bachelor's Degree is a must.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement.
  • Experience with Quality Systems standards and regulations; ISO 13485 is a plus.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • High level of self-motivation, organization, and self-discipline.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment and with many different cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and works well with others.
  • Able to lead and support both direct management and buyers.

At TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr., Lead or Manager). The compensation for these roles is $45.00 an hour.
