Job Summary
The Digital Content Services (DCS) team supports enterprise content management, workflow automation, and integrated digital business solutions that enable academic and administrative units to modernize operations, improve efficiency, and support strategic institutional initiatives.
This position serves as a senior enterprise application administrator and technical lead for Hyland OnBase and associated enterprise content management and workflow automation platforms. The role is responsible for the architectural design, administration, integration, lifecycle management, governance, optimization, and operational support of enterprise applications and related services supporting mission-critical university operations.
This position provides technical leadership for enterprise workflow automation, document management, intelligent document processing, and system integration initiatives involving platforms such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce, identity management services, and other university enterprise systems. Responsibilities include designing and supporting complex integrations, establishing technical standards and best practices, leading system upgrades and modernization efforts, troubleshooting complex enterprise application issues, and identifying opportunities to expand enterprise platform capabilities across campus.
The position collaborates closely with campus stakeholders, vendors, project teams, and IT leadership to support strategic digital transformation initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and maximize the university's return on investment in enterprise application platforms.
This position also provides mentoring, technical guidance, and knowledge transfer to team members and serves as a senior escalation point for complex enterprise application and integration issues.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and seven plus years of relevant experience; or the equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5)+ years of hands-on experience administering Hyland OnBase in a complex enterprise production environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application architecture, lifecycle management, and complex system integrations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise workflow automation and enterprise content management platforms.
  • Experience supporting APIs, web services, and structured data exchange technologies including XML and JSON.
  • Experience with Windows Server, IIS, SQL Server, and enterprise application troubleshooting.
  • Experience working within Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Hyland OnBase Certified System Administrator.
  • Hyland OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator.
  • Hyland OnBase Certified API Developer.
  • Hyland OnBase Certified WorkView Administrator or Developer.
  • Strong experience administering OnBase in multi-environment enterprise deployments including development, test, and production environments.
  • Experience designing and supporting complex enterprise workflow solutions including life cycles, queues, timers, Unity scripting, and process automation.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise integrations involving OnBase, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, identity management systems, APIs, and related enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with intelligent document processing, OCR, Advanced Capture, or similar automated capture technologies.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise workflow automation and document-centric business process solutions.
  • Experience leading enterprise application upgrades, migrations, modernization initiatives, and platform expansion efforts.
  • Experience developing technical standards, governance practices, operational procedures, and support documentation for enterprise applications.
  • Experience mentoring team members and providing technical leadership within enterprise application environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications within a higher education environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Expected areas of expertise and responsibility include the following:
  • Serve as senior enterprise application administrator and technical lead for Hyland OnBase and associated Digital Content Services platforms.
  • Administer, monitor, maintain, patch, upgrade, optimize, and support Hyland OnBase and related enterprise applications and services in on-premise and hybrid environments.
  • Design, support, and maintain enterprise integrations between OnBase and university enterprise systems including PeopleSoft, Salesforce, identity management services, APIs, and other campus solutions.
  • Develop and maintain architectural standards, operational procedures, governance practices, and best practices for enterprise content management and workflow automation platforms.
  • Lead technical planning, coordination, testing, validation, and deployment activities for enterprise platform upgrades, migrations, patches, modernization initiatives, and expansion efforts.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement enterprise workflow automation and intelligent document processing solutions to improve operational efficiency and business process effectiveness.
  • Configure and maintain OnBase document types, keyword types, file formats, security classes, user groups, workflows, WorkView applications, Unity Forms, and system configurations.
  • Administer and support enterprise workflow solutions including life cycles, queues, timers, Unity scripts, workflow actions, and automated document processing.
  • Support and troubleshoot enterprise capture, ingestion, indexing, and automated data extraction processes including OCR, Advanced Capture, import processors, and related technologies.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot APIs, scripts, integrations, automated processes, and technical solutions supporting enterprise business operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex enterprise application issues involving workflow processing, integrations, application services, authentication, performance, and data integrity.
  • Monitor and maintain enterprise application services including IIS-hosted applications, Unity Scheduler, Workflow services, integration services, and related infrastructure components.
  • Coordinate with vendors, infrastructure teams, database administrators, developers, security teams, and other technology groups to support enterprise application operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with academic and administrative departments to identify workflow automation opportunities and modernize document-centric business processes.
  • Support strategic initiatives focused on expanding enterprise platform utilization and maximizing return on investment in enterprise content management and workflow automation technologies.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture discussions, roadmap planning, and digital transformation initiatives related to workflow automation, integrations, and enterprise content management services.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, standards, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Provide mentoring, technical leadership, training, and guidance to team members, functional users, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as senior escalation point for complex enterprise application, workflow, and integration issues.
  • Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes in alignment with university operational standards and ITIL practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical enterprise application incidents and maintenance activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
