Temporary Quality Inspector - Metrology
Department: Quality / Metrology - Global Process Technology
Reports To: Quality Supervisor
Location: Easton, PA
Employment Type: Temporary Position (Estimated Duration: 3-6 months)
Quality Inspector
Position Overview
We are seeking a temporary Quality Inspector(s) to support second-shift operations and help reduce a current inspection backlog. This role is hands-on and focused on manual inspection, data collection, and accurate documentation of results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working from engineering drawings, and proficient with manual measuring tools. This position does not require CMM programming experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections of production parts using manual measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other basic inspection equipment.
  • Read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and basic GD&T requirements.
  • Accurately record and enter inspection results into quality systems, spreadsheets, or databases.
  • Review and enter test data generated from automated inspection or test equipment.
  • Verify parts meet drawing and specification requirements and clearly document any nonconformances.
  • Follow established inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized inspection records to support traceability and audits.
  • Work independently on second shift while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations.
  • Communicate inspection issues or concerns clearly to quality or manufacturing leadership
Required Qualifications
  • HS Diploma
  • Experience performing quality inspection or dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and part specifications.
  • Proficiency with manual measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gages, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to work second shift hours reliably.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts.
  • General awareness of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), including understanding what they are used for (programming not required).
  • Previous experience entering or reviewing data from automated inspection or test systems.
