Job description

We are seeking a highly professional and service-oriented Receptionist to join our Washington, DC office. As the first point of contact for clients, guests, and employees, this individual plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience that reflects the Firm's commitment to excellence, professionalism, and client service. The Receptionist will be onsite in the DC office Monday-Friday.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, and possess a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service while managing multiple responsibilities with discretion and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist clients, guests, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact at the reception desk, ensuring a positive and polished visitor experience.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally, accurately relaying messages and responding to routine inquiries.
  • Provide backup phone support for offices outside the Washington, DC area.
  • Coordinate and assign visitor offices for employees visiting the Washington, DC office.
  • Issue temporary employee badges and maintain badge tracking logs.
  • Distribute parking validation tickets to clients and guests and maintain associated records.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support conference room scheduling and meeting logistics.
  • Maintain the appearance and organization of the reception area, including seating areas, newspapers, and periodicals.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily office functions.
  • Exercise sound judgment and proactively resolve issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of reception experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or similar client-facing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $54,480 to $65,000 The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
