Job description

JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL TEST ENGINEER JOB LOCATION: MIDDLETOWN, RI WAGE RANGE*: 65.00-68.00 PER HOUR JOB NUMBER: 15039761 JOB DESCRIPTION: Perform instrumentation planning and test conduct of all Hardware Tests including vibration, mechanical shock, temperature, altitude, humidity, and structural testing Dynamic and thermal data acquisition and analysis Provide test fixture design coordination Work independently and take ownership of program/project to achieve schedule, financial, and technical goals Prepare test plans, schedules, test reports, and technical documentation of project work assigned Work directly with design engineering, structural analysis personnel, manufacturing engineering, and commercial customers Provide technical expertise to programs as needed Factory and supplier testing support domestically and internationally Generate detailed, archival technical reports Travel to test sites to support test or design discussion (depending on work assignment) Willingness to travel to domestic Raytheon sites, suppliers, and government facilities Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities * While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
