Maintenance Technician (Injection Molding / Extrusion)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technicianto join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industrial maintenance professional with experience repairing injection molding or extrusion/compounding equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, and is looking for a long-term opportunity with temp-to-hire potential.

Pay:$29.00–$30.00 per hour

Starting Schedule:Monday – Friday,7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Future Schedule:Transition to a12-hour rotating shiftafter several weeks of training

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to maximize uptime and support manufacturing operations. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a focus on injection molding or extrusion equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and working safely in an industrial environment.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding and/or extrusion compounding equipment
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance issues before failures occur
  • Repair and maintain vacuum systems, pumps, motors, and production equipment
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and component replacement
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals
  • Document maintenance activities and completed repairs
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Support production by minimizing equipment downtime
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Experience repairing injection molding or extrusion compounding machinery(highly preferred)

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience

  • Working knowledge of:- Pneumatic systems

    • Hydraulic systems
    • Vacuum systems
    • Motors and pumps
  • Comfortable working at heights when required

  • Must be fluent in English (bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs
  • Experience working with CNC equipment
  • Previous manufacturing maintenance experience in plastics or similar industries
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
