Production Associate
SpecChem, LLC supplies and services the concrete distributor network with quality construction chemicals that provide performance and value to the industry. We are seeking an intelligent, energetic candidate for a full-time Production Associate position in our Kansas City, KS facility.
Job Summary:
This location produces liquid cementitious products. The position involves packaging, quality control, equipment safety, and maintaining a clean work environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently while following standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Package and stack finished manufactured product
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Communicate with Lead Operator
  • Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
  • Move waste from assembly line to dumpsters
  • Operate within standard operating procedures
  • Quality control - ensure that no damaged product is sent out and no damaged raw material accepted in
  • Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
  • Stage finished product for loading
  • Assist in other areas as needed
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of batching or manufacturing experience, preferably with a chemical manufacturing background, or 1+ years with SpecChem in production.
  • Be dependable. This position requires consistent attendance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Quick learner with a commitment to quality work.
  • Forklift operation or willingness to learn.
  • Must wear a respirator mask.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment physical exam.
