Job description

HALLMARK - Because Connecting With Each Other Has Never Been More Important
The Production Support Specialist supports multiple departments (Specialty, Roll Wrap, Tissue, Bows, Webtron, Ribbon) by performing a wide range of tasks that keep production lines running efficiently. Flexibility is key, as assignments vary across work areas.
This Production Support Specialist position is in Leavenworth on 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00am), Monday through Friday.
Starting pay is $19.80/hour plus $1.25/hour for 2nd shift differential (total $21.05/hour).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supply production lines with stock and materials; jog, stack, assemble, label, and pack product into cartons; move boxes to skids.
  • Perform make-ready procedures, operate equipment, adjust settings, troubleshoot malfunctions, and conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Assist press operators with make-readies, clean-ups, and adhesive mixing.
  • Operate equipment such as sealing, accumulating, punching, scrapping/extracting, and shrink wrapping machines.
  • Order and transport stock/components using hand or powered equipment; handle hazardous materials per regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to quality standards, correcting defects as needed.
  • Complete required SAP entries for production, scrap, and shipping documents.
  • Participate in team problem-solving, performance dialogues, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with the next shift to ensure consistent operations.
  • Be certified to operate power lift equipment and skid inverting machines.
  • Learn and perform multiple assignments across departments.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by rotating tasks and alternating breaks to keep equipment running.
  • Uphold safety practices and contribute positively to team goals
  • Must pass certification to operate power lift equipment and skid inverting machine

This position is located in Leavenworth, Kansas. Relocation is not provided.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to grasp, lift and carry product weighing 20 - 50 lbs. frequently and up to 60 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to constantly stand and/or walk
  • Ability to frequently reach, twist, bend, perform repetitive hand/wrist motion and fine motor skills, and work at or above shoulder level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience running production equipment
  • Basic math, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to organize and set-up work area and reorganize as priorities change. Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to understand the computer and ordering systems and successfully operate both systems
  • Ability to understand and follow established safety procedures and transport hazardous waste material in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Ability to accept other duties as assigned
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be able to contribute positively during problem solving sessions
