Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance and repair, with a focus on ensuring the reliability and functionality of our fleet and equipment. This position will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of equipment, including all-terrain forklifts, scissor lifts, material lifts, mini excavators, welders, air compressors, and of course motor vehicles
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA 10, Cranes and Rigging, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
  • Ability to perform vehicle modifications, tools racks and service body racks etc.
  • Working in various locations on any given day of the week and hauling equipment and larger units
  • Expert Ability to drive a gooseneck trailer, 24ft box trailer and others as needed to load and unload materials and tools safely
  • Experience working on construction equipment (excavators, scissor lifts, man lifts and forklifts)

Preferred/Required Qualifications:
  • Willingness to learn and obtain certifications, including Cranes and Rigging, OSHA, and EPA, with company support and funding
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work at multiple office locations as needed

Tools and Equipment:
Candidates for this position should possess or have access to the following tools and equipment:
  • Basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.)
  • Power tools (drills, saws, etc.)
  • Electrical testing equipment (multimeter, wire strippers, etc.)
  • Welding equipment (if applicable)
