Job description

Novals, Inc. / Byrd Family of Companies is seeking a highly motivated, technology-oriented Business Systems & Software Training Specialist to support our operations team during a major software optimization initiative. This contracted position will focus on learning, configuring, documenting, testing, and training employees on our CRM software systems, including PSA/Proven Jobs, LiveSwitch, Xactimate, and other business applications. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technology and operations by helping employees confidently utilize software to improve efficiency, communication, and job management. An ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys learning new technology, improving business processes, creating training materials, and helping others succeed.

Essential Responsibilities

Software Implementation & Optimization Learn company software platforms and business workflows quickly. Configure and test software features under management direction. Identify workflow improvements and recommend process efficiencies. Assist with software implementation and adoption. Perform data validation and quality assurance testing. Troubleshoot basic software issues and coordinate with software vendors when needed.

Employee Training & Support Develop easy-to-follow user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training documentation. Conduct one-on-one and small group software training sessions. Provide ongoing coaching and technical support to office and field personnel. Create quick-reference guides, videos, and other learning materials. Evaluate employee proficiency and identify additional training needs. Process Improvement Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to reduce duplication and improve efficiency.

Assist management with documenting standardized business processes. Recommend best practices for software utilization and data integrity. Help establish consistent procedures across departments. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate documentation of workflows and software procedures. Assist with report development and data analysis. Monitor software usage and adoption. Prepare progress updates for leadership throughout the project.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software systems. Strong computer proficiency and technology aptitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Reliable transportation to and from our facility in Miamisburg, OH Preferred Qualifications Experience with business management software, ERP, CRM, project management, or workflow applications. Experience creating training materials or conducting employee training. Knowledge of data management, reporting, or business analytics. Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools. Experience with software implementation or business process improvement.

Exposure to property restoration, insurance, construction, or service industries is a plus. Preferred software experience (not required) PSA / Proven Jobs Xactimate LiveSwitch Microsoft Office Google Workspace CRM or ERP systems (such as SAP) Candidates with experience learning enterprise software such as SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceTitan, or similar systems are encouraged to apply, even if they have not previously worked with restoration software.

Education & Experience Qualified candidates may possess: Associate degree, bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional experience. Background in Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Project Management, Operations, or related fields. Compensation:

Competitive annual compensation of $50,000 - $65,000 based on experience
