Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Tech Support Specialist to support the day-to-day technology needs of our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all technology systems, computers, printers, scanners, Wi-Fi-connected devices, and network equipment are functioning properly. This is a temporary position!

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, barcode scanners, and other warehouse technology.
  • Ensure all devices are properly connected to the company Wi-Fi and network.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Provide technical support to warehouse employees and office staff.
  • Install software updates, security patches, and system upgrades.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse technology to minimize downtime.
  • Configure user accounts, passwords, and device access as needed.
  • Coordinate with internet service providers and third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Perform routine inspections of technology equipment to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Replace or repair malfunctioning hardware.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment, accessories, and spare parts.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and equipment installations.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up workstations and technology.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of IT support or technical support experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows PCs, printers, networking equipment, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts including routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, and wireless networking.
