As a Pharmacy Technician you will:

  • Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.ย 
  • Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.ย 
  • Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments, etc.).ย 
  • Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.ย 
  • Participate in pharmacy inventory management, including checking stock and removing expired medications.ย 
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.ย 
  • Assist with onboarding and training new pharmacy staff.ย 
  • Perform specialized tasks that may include:ย 
  • Working in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.ย 
  • Operating automated machines to prepack medications.ย 
  • Mixing IV medications and sanitizing IV room/equipment.ย 
  • Servicing facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., Omnicell).ย 
  • Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.ย 
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required: ย 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.ย ย 
  • Pharmacy Technician license as required by stateย 
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.ย ย 
  • Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.ย ย 
  • Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.ย ย
