Job description

VDC Detailer
What we are looking for:
Aldridge is seeking a VDC Detailer to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for producing fabrication spool drawings, detailed rack drawings, CAD as-builts and CAD files for our CNC machine.
What you'll do:
  • Create files in BobCad for the CNC machines
  • Create underground spacers for underground conduit packages
  • As-built drawings from project teams
  • Create cut lists for steel products
  • Design rack drawings
  • Be involved in project builds
  • Attend meetings with PreFab group and project teams
  • Produce fabrication spool drawings
  • Utilize BIM software to model electrical systems
  • Read job specifications and drawings

Who you are:
  • Excellent communication skills and work attitude
  • Team player, relates well with employees and superiors
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must have good organization skills and time management skills
  • Be able to put in the time and effort necessary
  • Should be open-minded and decisive with problem solving skills
  • Self-driven with desire to learn
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Google platforms
  • Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks or any other BIM software (preferred)

What we offer:
The annual base pay for this role is between $60,000 - $80,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions.
