Description

Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop scalable, enterprise-grade Semantic Models for self-service Power BI analytics.

• Work extensively with Data Architects and ETL Team to ingest, transform, and prepare large and complex Semantic Models for analytics consumption.

• Implement and manage data governance, access controls, and security policies.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions.

• Ensure optimal Power BI report and dataset performance through efficient data modeling, DAX optimization, and query tuning best practices.

• Monitor Workspaces and Fabric Capacities to ensure solutions are efficient and performant.

• Troubleshoot Reports and Dashboards that don't render quickly.

• Establish and enforce standards, guidelines, and best practices for Power BI development across the organization.

• Lead initiatives around metadata management, data lineage, documentation, and data quality assurance.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT Staff and Business Users.

• Support enterprise reporting strategies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and consistency across analytics platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in BI architecture and data engineering, with 10 or more years of overall IT experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, advanced data modeling techniques, and Fabric capacities.
  • Expert-level proficiency in relational databases and SQL, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and Redshift.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to business and technical audiences.
