Job Title: PCB Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical or Computer Engineer who has successfully taken products from development into production and can provide technical leadership to an engineering team. This role will initially be part-time, approximately 16-24 hours per week onsite in Coatesville, with the potential to transition into a full-time Lead Engineer role. The ideal candidate is someone in the latter stages of their career who enjoys mentoring engineers, solving difficult technical challenges, and working hands-on in a fast-moving startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in PCB design, manufacturing readiness, and product scalability.
- Mentor and lead a team of three full-time junior engineers.
- Solve immediate manufacturing-related engineering challenges.
- Lead the transition of FDA-cleared products from clinical development into commercial manufacturing.
- Collaborate in a highly dynamic startup environment with expansion plans.
Essential Skills
- PCB Design experience.
- Experience in PCB layout from schematic to manufacturing release.
- Strong understanding of mixed-signal designs, analog & digital circuitry, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFT (Design for Test).
- Experience with Altium Designer.
- Troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
- Reviewing board layouts and design packages.
- Embedded firmware experience utilizing C.
- Experience with electromechanical systems.
- Experience bringing products from prototype to production.
- Experience working directly with board houses and contract manufacturers.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers.
- Experience leading technical teams or engineering organizations.
- Calm, level-headed problem-solving skills.
- Strong engineering judgment and decision-making skills with limited information.

Work Environment
This position is fully onsite in Coatesville. The role involves working hands-on in a startup environment with a collaborative and flexible culture, focusing on immediate problem-solving without relying on excessive processes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Coatesville, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
