What is a temp agency?

A temp agency, short for temporary employment agency, is a company that matches employers with workers for short-term positions. These agencies help businesses fill staffing gaps quickly and provide job seekers with temporary or contract work. Temp agencies handle the hiring process, payroll, and sometimes benefits, making it easier for both employers and employees. They can be a stepping stone to permanent employment or a way to gain experience in different industries.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a temp agency professional?

To thrive in a Temp Agency role, you need strong organizational skills, a good understanding of recruitment processes, and experience or education in human resources or business administration. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and HR management software is typically required.
