Equitable Bank is looking for an experienced teller to join our North Platte team. This position is a full-time position, hours will vary Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.Job Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing customer’s transactions. 


Job Functions:

  • Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient processing of customer transactions
  • Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsements and enters deposits into computer records.
  • Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift. Reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Explains bank services and charges to customers
  • Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
  • Cashes checks from a variety of accounts upon proper verification
  • Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and enters into computer.
  • Issues Official Checks and Gift Cards.
  • Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
  • Cross-sells bank products and services as appropriate.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned such as counting coin and currency, general receptionist duties, filing, etc.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and phone
  • Creativity and resourcefulness
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks
