POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees all teller operations including scheduling, supervising and providing work direction to Tellers to ensure customers are provided accurate information and courteous, efficient service regarding customer/Bank transactions. Responsible for bank vault and cash funds, including buying and selling cash to the Federal Reserve

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ACCOUNTABILITY 1:

Ensure that customer service procedures are being met by the tellers to the highest standard consistently, and Tellers are accountable for these expectations through observations and coaching.

ACCOUNTABILITY 2:

Responsible for performing ongoing on-the-job training for all new & existing tellers assigned to the Bank. Evaluates learning/knowledge of all teller staff. Provides specific performance feedback to tellers. Promptly handles performance problems and employee relation issues.

ACCOUNTABILITY 3:

Supervises and schedules teller operations to ensure sufficient staff are available during Bank's service hours and customer transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and courteously. Verifying all work is balanced at the end of the day.

ACCOUNTABILITY 4:

Assists tellers as necessary with special or difficult internal transactions or problems or customer inquiries/problems. Provides follow-up guidance by instructing tellers in the handling of problem areas or transactions. Assists teller personnel in reconciling errors as needed and ensures prompt and courteous response to customer inquiries. Investigate equipment malfunctions and requests repair services as necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITY 5:

Oversee the operational functions of the teller line. This includes the weekly replenishment of ATM cassettes, preparing branch cash buys for courier pickup and verifying funds sold to the main vault from branches to prepare for the Fed sale. Functions as an experienced, fully trained teller as needed, receiving and processing teller transactions accurately and timely.

ACCOUNTABILITY 6:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance issues related to accounting and other departments of the Bank. Demonstration of application of regulations in day-to-day operations and dissemination of information to co-workers.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors Cashier's Check inventories.
  • Grant access to safe deposit boxes.
  • Compliance with bank policies and procedures and federal and state laws/regulations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 1 to 2 years supervisory experience
  • 4 to 5 years related bank experience preferred
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Training skills
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
