As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Kelso, you will leverage a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to conduct counseling sessions. • Deliver compassionate counseling services tailored to individual client needs, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and treatment planning.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in exploring their feelings, identifying problems, and generating solutions.
• Implement structured treatment programs aimed at symptom management for clients dealing with mental health issues, trauma, or dual diagnoses.
• Utilize our cloud-based EHR system to document session notes, treatment plans, and progress updates while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health counseling and participate in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure that clients receive holistic support throughout their treatment journey.

This position requires the Licensed Professional Counselor to work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. You will be equipped to create a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings openly while ensuring emotional and psychological safety throughout the therapeutic process.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Oregon.
• At least three years of professional experience in mental health counseling.
• Proficient in using technology, including a reliable laptop or desktop computer with internet access and a web camera, to conduct telehealth sessions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Success in passing a comprehensive background check.

• Experience providing telehealth services and familiarity with telehealth technologies.
• Previous work with underserved populations and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience with dual diagnosis treatment protocols.
