Competitive base salary of $240,000–$250,000

Ready to lead the next phase of growth for a private equity-backed fibre provider?

Our client, a private equity-backed telecommunications and fibre infrastructure provider, is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team during an exciting period of growth.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in scaling one of the company's fastest-growing business areas, leading operational excellence across a rapidly expanding Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) network while partnering closely with the CEO to drive the organisation's long-term strategic vision.

The Opportunity

As Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for leading all operational functions across the business, ensuring the organization continues to scale efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer and employee experiences.

This role requires a proven operational leader with deep telecommunications expertise, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership across all operational functions.
  • Lead and scale large Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployment programmes.
  • Drive operational excellence across network engineering, construction, customer operations, installations and procurement.
  • Develop scalable processes to support continued organisational growth.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Foster a high-performance, people-first culture focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

About You

We're looking to speak with executives who possess:

  • Extensive senior operational leadership experience within the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale FTTH deployment programmes.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams across engineering, construction, customer operations and procurement.
  • A track record of successfully scaling organisations through periods of rapid growth.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational performance and strategic objectives.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience within a private equity-backed environment or supporting businesses through significant growth or investment is highly desirable but not essential.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

Technical expertise is important, but leadership style is equally critical.

Our client places significant emphasis on building a positive, people-first culture and is looking for a leader who inspires teams, develops future talent and creates an environment where employees can thrive. The successful candidate will be someone who combines operational excellence with authenticity, collaboration and a genuine passion for people.

Package

  • Competitive base salary of $240,000–$250,000
  • 40% annual performance bonus
  • Equity participation
  • Executive leadership opportunity within a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organisation.

If you're an accomplished telecommunications executive looking to make a meaningful impact within a business entering its next phase of growth, we'd love to hear from you.
