Job description

We are looking for a highly organized Project Manager with solid communication skills. A PM who is experienced in leading cross-organization project teams toward targeted and scheduled outcomes in an IT environment.

Responsibilities:

  •  Successful management of medium-large sized projects from initiation through closure
  •  Deliver the project’s primary end result within scope, budget, and on schedule
  •  Continually report on project progress, updates on issues, and identified risks to project stakeholders
  •  Work closely with the Program Manager and Project Sponsor to identify and satisfy project needs
  •  Report on status of progress, issues, and risks
  •  Facilitate team meetings; logistics (e.g. scheduling, agendas), keeping on agenda, capturing meeting decisions and actions, and managing meeting processes
  •  Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource assignments, and project plans
  •  Management of secondary projects that involve the maturity of the PMO and other groups under guidance from the Program Manager/PMO
  •  Interface regularly with team members, working primarily with the PMO and other teams
  •  Maintain high quality project hygiene (project artifacts, records, reports, metadata, etc.)
  •  Track and report metrics
  •  Manage administrative activities for the supporting team.

Qualifications:

  •  5+ years of project management experience on projects with full-time employees, internal and external vendors
  •  Knowledge/background in data center infrastructure and operations
  •  Possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues
  •  High-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and articulate situations that pass by many others
  •  Excellent verbal and written communications skill
  •  Highly organized and detail oriented
  •  Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Project Professional.
  •  Formal training or certification in project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, etc.)
