Job description

At Muza Sheet Metal, our Project Managers are a driving force behind successful projects. From coordinating complex architectural metal and roofing projects to building lasting customer relationships, this role combines technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving to ensure every project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This position is located at our Windsor, Wisconsin office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage assigned projects from estimating handoff through project completion and closeout.
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, contracts, and other construction documents.
  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, and project assessments for roofing, architectural wall panel systems, and related sheet metal applications.
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost tracking, schedules, and material procurement plans.
  • Coordinate project activities with customers, general contractors, suppliers, fabrication teams, and installation crews.
  • Create and maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, material requisitions, warranties, and closeout documents.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate updates, and proactively address project challenges to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, architects, general contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Obtain pricing, negotiate purchases, and coordinate material deliveries to support project schedules.
  • Perform roof investigations and obtain roof core samples to determine existing roof system conditions when necessary.
  • Support business development efforts by promoting Muza Sheet Metal products and services and identifying new project opportunities.
  • Attend project meetings and provide regular updates regarding project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in order to keep up with company needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five years of project management, estimating, or construction-related experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in commercial roofing, architectural sheet metal, wall panel systems, or related construction trades preferred.
  • Experience with construction software such as Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to articulate ideas, thoughts, and information clearly and effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including the ability to create action plans and achieve project timelines.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position provides services in both office and field environments. Regular travel to construction sites is required. There may be exposure to varying weather conditions, construction-related hazards, loud noises, extended periods of sitting, various interruptions, and bright lighting. Special events, conferences, project schedules, and management functions may require flexible working hours.
