CompuNet is looking for a Project Coordinator to direct the successful delivery of Telecommunication projects, ensuring our vendors' and related project work aligns with customer expectations, project goals, and CompuNet's standards.
As a Project Coordinator you will work with diverse set of stakeholders - including internal teams and external partners - while owning the key responsibilities of project set-up, project supervision, proactive communication, quality checks, and financial tracking. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and skilled at balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator for Telecommunications Service Delivery is responsible for driving customer telecommunication projects from signed contract through successful service activation and revenue turn-up. This role serves as the primary coordinator between customers, telecommunications carriers, ISP partners, internal sales teams, engineering resources, and service delivery organizations to ensure internet, WAN, voice, and related telecommunications services are installed and activated as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of telecommunications provisioning processes, carrier ordering procedures, circuit and voice delivery milestones, and customer implementation requirements. This individual proactively manages project timelines, identifies and removes delivery obstacles, escalates delays, and ensures all stakeholders remain informed throughout the service delivery lifecycle.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator for Telecommunications Service Delivery will have dual reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Management and Director of Technology Advisory Services. They work closely with Sales, Service Portfolio, Partner Enablement, and Operations roles to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Project Coordination
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills by effectively coordinating and monitoring multiple projects across a diverse set of customers, industries, and geographies
  • Complete recurring project coordination activities, including the ability to:
    • Schedule internal and customer-facing project kickoff meetings
    • Track project scope, budget, forecasted and confirmed schedules, and the status of deliverables
    • Maintain steady communication flows and collaborate with CompuNet teams and customers to ensure projects stay on track
      • Communication flows may include participation in status meetings, the development of meeting summaries or written status reports, proactively communicating risks, etc.
    • Manage customer-requested changes to a project's scope - facilitating completion of change orders as appropriate with CompuNet partners
    • Monitor customers' satisfaction and escalate any issues or early warning signs of dissatisfaction to the Account Executive, Domain Solution Advisor and others as needed
    • Ensure predictable, consistent, and high-quality project delivery in accordance with industry best practices
    • Proactively engage with Service Delivery, providing high level updates on project risk for each region and their respective markets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the end-to-end service delivery process from contract execution through customer activation and billing commencement
  • Coordinate the provisioning and implementation of telecommunications services including Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), Ethernet, MPLS, broadband, fiber, SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, UCaaS, CCaaS, CX Point Solutions, SIP, Voice, and related network services
  • Manage carrier relationships throughout the order lifecycle, including order submission, firm order commitment (FOC) tracking, installation scheduling, testing, turn-up, and service acceptance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, suppliers, sales teams, engineering teams, and implementation resources
  • Establish project plans, track milestones, monitor critical path activities, and proactively identify risks that may delay service activation
  • Facilitate regular status updates and customer communications to ensure transparency and expectation management
  • Coordinate site readiness activities, installation appointments, testing windows, porting activities, and service cutovers
  • Drive escalations with carriers and vendors to resolve provisioning delays, missed commitments, technical issues, and installation obstacles
  • Validate service delivery milestones and ensure successful service activation prior to project closure
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM, project management, and carrier management systems
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless project handoff and customer onboarding
  • Track and report key performance indicators including installation intervals, activation timelines, vendor performance, and revenue turn-up metrics
  • Continuously identify process improvements that reduce implementation cycle times and improve customer experience
  • Leverage approved AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance communication quality, support project coordination activities, and help streamline service delivery workflows
Education & Experience
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of telecommunications, ISP, network and/or voice service delivery, provisioning, implementation, or project coordination experience
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications service delivery processes and circuit provisioning lifecycles
  • Working knowledge of carrier ordering procedures, local loop provisioning, data and voice circuit installations, WAN deployments, and network turn-up activities
  • Experience coordinating with telecommunications carriers, ISPs, CLECs, ILECs, and third-party service providers
  • Ability to interpret service orders, network diagrams, implementation schedules, and customer requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Proven ability to proactively identify issues, drive resolutions, and maintain project momentum
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience with telecom aggregators, managed service providers, carriers, or enterprise telecommunications environments
  • Familiarity with carrier portals, CRM systems, Microsoft Dynamics, project management platforms, and service delivery tools
  • Understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, routing, WAN connectivity, internet and voice technologies
