JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Direct Sales is responsible for leading, developing, and motivating a team of Direct Sales Representatives to achieve customer acquisition, revenue, and market penetration goals. This position drives sales performance through recruiting, coaching, field training, performance management, and strategic execution while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth and uphold Ezee Fiber's commitment to Speed, Simplicity, and Service. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve customer acquisition, revenue, and market penetration goals while supporting the company's growth objectives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, hire, onboard, motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Direct Sales Representatives through ongoing coaching and professional development.
  • Performance Management & Field Coaching: Monitor individual and team sales performance by conducting regular field ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and one-on-one meetings. Provide timely feedback, recognize achievements, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Customer & Community Engagement: Foster positive customer relationships by ensuring an exceptional customer experience and representing Ezee Fiber professionally within the communities we serve. Assist with escalated customer concerns as needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, and other internal teams to execute sales initiatives, community events, product launches, and market expansion strategies.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze sales metrics, market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities, improve team performance, and support informed business decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sales practices, safety standards, and accurate reporting while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Talent Development: Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and recognition by developing future leaders and promoting employee engagement and retention.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervise one or more employees. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct sales experience with at least two (2) years of leadership or management experience.
  • Experience leading high-performing field sales or door-to-door sales teams preferred.
  • Telecommunications, broadband, fiber, cable, wireless, or other subscription-based sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain successful sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales and customer acquisition goals.
  • Experience analyzing sales metrics and using data to drive business decisions.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL, FIELD, OR ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to travel up to 20% throughout the assigned market, including travel to multiple states within the territory as business needs require.
