Description
The Senior Project Coordinator at DCOMM plays a critical role in the successful planning, execution, and closeout of telecommunications construction projects across multiple customers and markets. This position partners closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Operations Leadership, customers, subcontractors, and internal support teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations.
The Senior Project Coordinator serves as a central point of communication throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating schedules, documentation, project financials, invoicing, reporting, and customer deliverables. This position is also responsible for identifying project risks, improving operational processes, and mentoring Project Coordinators to promote consistency and operational excellence across the organization.
Requirements
YOUR ROLE IN ACTION
Lead Project Coordination - Serve as the administrative lead for multiple telecommunications construction projects.
Customer & Client Communication - Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Project Financial Management - Monitor project budgets, WIP, committed costs, production reporting, and invoicing.
Documentation Management - Maintain schedules, meeting minutes, permits, material requests, as-builts, change orders, and closeout packages.
Schedule & Milestone Coordination - Coordinate resources, subcontractors, inspections, and customer milestones.
Risk & Issue Management - Identify risks and coordinate mitigation plans.
Change Management - Ensure adherence to client's requirements for completion of risk and impact assessments.
Invoice & Billing Coordination - Support timely customer invoicing through accurate documentation.
Quality Assurance - Review project documentation for completeness and compliance.
Process Improvement - Recommend workflow and reporting improvements.
Mentor & Support Team Members - Provide guidance and support to Project Coordinators and back-office support staff.
All Other Duties as Assigned - Support operational excellence and business objectives.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum three (3) years of project coordination, construction administration, or related experience.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent construction or telecommunications projects.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, financial tracking, and project lifecycle management.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Penguin Data, or similar project management platforms.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules when business needs as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Telecommunications, FTTH, or OSP construction experience.
• Knowledge of permitting and utility coordination.
• Experience with project invoicing and executive reporting.
• ERP/accounting software experience.
• PMP, CAPM, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Primarily an office-based position with occasional visits to active construction sites. Must be able to sit for extended periods, communicate professionally, utilize computer systems, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Primary Work Location: Assigned DCOMM Operations Office
• Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to project sites, customer meetings, and other DCOMM locations.
