Job description

Job Overview
The Test Engineer is responsible for overseeing the testing processes and activities within the Manufacturing Test engineering department. This position involves working with a team of test technicians, developing, and implementing test strategies, and ensuring that products meet quality and performance standards. The Test Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve testing methodologies and deliver high-quality products while meeting project timelines and budget constraints.
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $120,000 annually and also offers a competitive benefits package.

A Day In The Life
Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:
• Effectively communicating with Technicians and Engineers that design/maintain electromechanical test fixtures utilizing hardware and software such as C# . Regularly updating test electromechanical test fixtures to ensure highest possible level of test coverage.
• Designing the construction of test fixtures, jigs used to test the functions of Printed Circuit Boards and the calibration of finished Power Meters used for measuring power quality and consumption.
• Interface with Design Engineering to ensure NPI projects are fully supported and on time. Work with QA and Design Engineering team to resolve complex
• The role requires knowledge of designing test fixtures that ulitize hardware and software (C#) to test functionality of PCB's and Meters with tools such Radian RD-20 and RD-23, Fluke 5080A Calibratior and similar electronic test equipment.
• Implementing and maintaining the quality requirements in the manufacturing/repair/testing process.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Working with program management to oversee work projects assigned to the Model Shop and Test Lab.
• Interfacing and supporting offsite PCB vendors that are utilizing our test equipment when building PCB for EIG.
• Selecting and scheduling machines and equipment for repairs or overhaul to maintain accuracy and reliability.
• Interface with the Test Automation Supervisor to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner and assist with resolving fixture breakdowns. Also assist with day to day support of his team to ensure production fixtures are fully operational
• Maintaining records and files of test reports, programs for test fixtures SLA models, and all relevant information to maintain good records. Maintaining inventory of all tools and materials.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with some Computer Science knowledge
• 3-6 years of experience in engineering in areas of electronic, electro mechanical fixtures, finishing, assembly, and testing environment (required)
• Ability to set up and operate all machine shop equipment including presses, grinders, forming tools, and knowledge of fabrication methods
• A working knowledge of programming, set up, and running of CNC machinery
• Experience with software including C# and VB6, Python, Altium, Solidworks, CAD software.
• Experience in building maintenance services and environmental training
