Job description

SUMMARY:

We currently have a need for a DAS Project Manager to oversee corporate build out, upgrades and relocation projects for large enterprise companies. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in an enterprise network environment. Global Financial Services, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Drive the implementation of cellular amplification initiatives.
  • Create scopes for DAS projects by walking site locations and reporting back results.
  • Interpret iBwave designs and fibre test results.
  • Understand pathways and risers in buildings, including sleeves, conduits.
  • Troubleshoot basic cellular issues.
  • Interpret cable sweep and PIM test results.
  • Review the layout of floor plans, schedules, specification notes, and details.
  • Attend customer meetings to ensure building designs meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure moves are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain project communications with the customer point of contact.
  • Generate and maintain the project plan.
  • Coordinate establishment of the project environment to include communication & escalation paths and problem resolution methodology.
  • Oversee collaboration across project teams and ensure all project milestones & deliverables are met.
  • Establish necessary program management office (PMO) processes and ensure standards are met across projects including effective risk mitigation and issue resolution
  • Schedule resources, both internal and external.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with the infrastructure and customer project teams.
  • Management of all project financials. This includes tracking and reporting of revenue and expenses and project billing.
  • Project monitoring and closing activities; reporting of results to senior management.

COMPENTENCY:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Management, or equivalent experience required.
  • OSHA Certification
  • 5 to 7 years' experience managing mid to large sized telecom (wireless/wireline) technology projects
  • Knowledge of DAS solutions/vendors including JMA, CommScope, Solid, ADRF, Efempto, and MBO solutions.
  • Understanding of cellular technologies (LTE, 5G) and the bands they operate on.
  • Experience working with carriers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon) on DAS projects.
  • Familiarity with closeout documentation packages.
  • Cellular RF theory and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of interpretation of Key metrics: RSRP, RSRQ, SINR.
  • Knowledge of DAS BoM including active and passive devices.
  • Familiarity with GPS antennas and connectivity to carriers.
  • Good overall understanding of technology from a LAN/WAN perspective.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • History of successfully managing to financial goals
  • Skilled at / experience in working with multiple IT vendors to create win-win relationships as part of implementation.
  • Experience in delivering services to customers with a track record of exceptional results.
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally on all levels and through all mediums.
  • Ability to apply project management principles, processes, and tools to effectively manage projects.
  • Must have experience with MS Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Able to gather requirements from any area (end-user, engineering, operations, deployment etc.) and clearly communicate to all interested parties.
  • Strong presentation skills for presenting to Senior Management and Steering Committees.
  • Very strong verbal and written communications.
