Job description

We are seeking a Test Technician to become an integral part of our MECA Team!

TEST TECHNICIAN

(Citizenship restrictions apply. See qualifications below)

Department: Manufacturing - Test

Reports to: Applicable Department Heads and Supervisors

Organizational Function: The Test Technician is responsible for ensuring conformance of MECA Electronics, Inc. products in respect to pre-defined specifications. This is achieved by electrical testing and visual inspection of the company’s products.

Duties / Responsibilities:

· Calibration of R.F. test equipment required for operation.

· Perform R.F. measurements as required by product specification.

· Perform visual inspection of product to ensure conformity to Company QA standards.

· Communicate status of product performance on a continual basis to Assembly/Test Manufacturing Supervisor and Engineering Department.

· Make recommendations to Assembly/Test Manufacturing Supervisor and Engineering department for product improvement.

· Assist as needed in a support or direct contribution roll in the assembly and fabrication of the products when required.

· Perform technical duties under moderate supervision.

· All other duties as assigned by the: Assembly/Test Manufacturing Supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Federal Law restricts this position to United States citizens only.

· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

· Ability to read and understand technical and non-technical documents.

· Ability to calibrate and operate RF test equipment in the RF frequency range Hz to 50GHz.

· Ability to interpret test data and graphs.

· Ability to perform technical duties under moderate supervision.

· Ability to operate small hand tools/devices requiring dexterity of physical motor coordination.

· The ability to lift (30lb) and arrange test equipment to facilitate the required use of the equipment.

· Ability to possess cross-functional skills that are necessary to perform all duties as assigned.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks.

· Ability to perform light to medium paperwork.

· Must be computer literate and able to maintain and use Excel based spreadsheets.

Education:

· High school graduate or equivalent G.E.D.

· Technical certification in electrical engineering from an accredited institution is preferred, but not required.

Experience:

· Preferred 1-year technical experience in the field of R.F passive component testing.
