Description:

Metro RF Services is seeking an experienced Senior Fiber Splicer to support large-scale carrier and metro fiber network deployments across the Los Angeles market.

This position is ideal for fiber professionals experienced with high-count backbone fiber, metro transport networks, and carrier-grade infrastructure. The role involves working on critical telecommunications networks supporting regional connectivity and high-capacity transport systems.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing on single-mode and ribbon fiber in aerial, underground, and enclosure environments
• Splice high-count fiber cables (144–864+) supporting backbone and metro networks
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, power meter, and light source equipment
• Interpret splice matrices, fiber route maps, and carrier network documentation
• Install and build fiber closures, splice cases, and terminal enclosures
• Document splice activity, test results, and as-built information
• Troubleshoot and restore fiber network outages when necessary
• Maintain strict adherence to telecommunications safety and quality standards
