We provide full-service wireless and civil infrastructure solutions across California, Washington, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Telecom Foreman with both civil construction and RF installation experience. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who wants to lead diverse projects while advancing quickly within a fast-paced, expanding organization.
Position Summary
The Telecom Foreman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of wireless telecommunications construction, combining civil site development with RF/wireless installation. This leadership role supervises crews, manages site execution, ensures safety compliance, and works closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients.
Project scopes may include excavation, grading, underground utilities, concrete, framing, tower modifications, antenna and mount installs, coax and fiber routing, testing, troubleshooting, and support for integration and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Civil Construction Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality site work.
  • Oversee excavation, grading, concrete, utility installation, demolition, and related civil scopes.
  • Operate and manage heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, skid steers, telehandlers).
  • Manage project execution from mobilization to closeout, maintaining schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate work plans with crew members, subcontractors, and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NATE, and company safety standards.
  • Complete daily reports, time/material logs, change orders, and site documentation.
  • Oversee material procurement, deliveries, and equipment mobilization.

RF/Wireless Responsibilities
  • Install antennas, mounts, RRUs, coax, fiber, grounding, and related RF components.
  • Perform or support PIM, sweep testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
  • Read and execute RF data, construction drawings, and sector build details.
  • Work directly with integration teams to support site turn-up and performance requirements.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and quality control for all wireless systems.
  • Mentor and train field technicians across both RF and civil disciplines.

Leadership & Multi-Site Coordination
  • Manage productivity and quality across multiple active job sites.
  • Communicate directly with clients, engineers, inspectors, and general contractors.
  • Support OJT and technician development in alignment with Apex core values.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of telecom or civil construction experience, with at least 1 year in a foreman or supervisory role.
  • Required: Hands-on RF/wireless installation experience (antennas, coax/fiber, mounts, grounding, testing, troubleshooting).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Site development (excavation, grading, concrete, utilities)
    • Wireless site builds (sector builds, antenna systems, RF components)
  • Proficient in operating heavy machinery (excavators, backhoes, skid steers, telehandlers).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, civil plans, RF drawings, and construction specs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, NATE regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with digital reporting and documentation tools (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license is required as driving is an essential function of this position.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • OSHA 30 required; RF safety certifications preferred.

Travel Requirements
  • Extensive travel required (up to 95%), including local and out-of-area assignments.
  • Must be able to work rotational schedules and respond to emergency/on-call duties.
