Job Description Summary

The Warehouse Cycle Counting position supports inventory accuracy and daily warehouse operations at the Costa Mesa warehouse. This role conducts physical cycle counts, uses RF-Smart or similar warehouse scanning software to complete inventory transactions, investigates inventory discrepancies, maintains internal tracking logs, and supports order picking and fulfillment during peak afternoon hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical cycle counts to ensure every warehouse bin is verified at least twice per year.
  • Use RF-Smart scanning software to complete real-time bin movements, inventory lookups, and count confirmations.
  • Consolidate quality-controlled inventory and accurately transfer items from location 62 to 61 within RF-Smart.
  • Investigate and resolve immediate inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Support order picking during peak afternoon hours, typically 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, to help meet daily production deadlines when needed.
  • Proactively locate and pull urgent inventory to help prevent delays on the production floor.
  • Maintain flexibility to cross-train and support all warehouse zones, including Picking, Packing, Shipping, LTL Shipping, and Outsourcing.
  • Update and verify all internal Excel tracking logs before departing at the end of each evening.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KPI Reporting Responsibilities

  • Cycle count completion and bin verification progress.
  • Inventory discrepancy findings, corrections, and unresolved issues requiring follow-up.
  • RF-Smart inventory transaction accuracy, including bin movements, lookups, and count confirmations.
  • Daily Excel tracking log completion and accuracy.
  • Order picking support during peak fulfillment hours when needed.

Job Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, inventory control, cycle counting, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Proven experience using RF-Smart or similar WMS/NetSuite scanning software is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for daily data logging and tracking.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift warehouse inventory throughout a full shift.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. comfortably.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, research, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to transition between independent counting and fast-paced team picking.
  • Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with Quality Control, Production, and Shipping teams.
  • Flexible scheduling availability. Initial training shift is 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for the first 2 to 3 weeks. Permanent shift is 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, following training.
